We are dedicated to effectively addressing a diverse range of complex IT challenges by leveraging modern technologies. Our core expertise lies in advising clients on cybersecurity and business/system architecture through our Virtual CIO services, developing cutting-edge solutions via application development and system integration, and managing and optimizing desktop, server, and network environments as a Managed Services Provider. About This Role
Terra Dygital is looking for an experienced SharePoint Practice Lead to own the architecture, modernization, and delivery of SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 solutions for our clients. As Terra’s senior SharePoint technical authority, you will assess complex environments, define governance standards, lead migrations and intranet modernization projects, and provide technical direction throughout delivery; from legacy file-share and on-premises migrations to tenant-to-tenant moves, hub site architecture, and SharePoint-based automation and portals.
You will work directly with client stakeholders to translate business needs into practical solutions, while providing architecture guidance and mentorship to the wider Terra delivery team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on SharePoint SME with strong consulting instincts who can take ownership of complex engagements from end to end.
Key Responsibilities
- Design scalable SharePoint Online architectures, including Team sites, Communication sites, hub sites, and Microsoft 365 Groups, across multiple business units and locations.
- Define standards for site structure, document libraries, metadata, taxonomy, navigation, and search.
- Establish governance frameworks covering permissions, external sharing, security, and content lifecycle.
- Assess existing environments and recommend practical improvements to usability, security, and long-term maintainability.
- Plan and lead migrations from legacy SharePoint (2013/2016) and file shares to SharePoint Online, including tenant-to-tenant migrations.
- Develop end-to-end migration strategies covering content restructuring, permissions mapping, testing, and cutover, using tools such as ShareGate, AvePoint, or SPMT.
- Modernize intranets, department sites, and collaboration environments using current SharePoint Online capabilities.
- Design and implement Power Automate workflows and other Microsoft 365 automation that extend SharePoint-based solutions.
- Develop SharePoint-based business solutions such as client collaboration portals, vendor management tools, and data rooms.
- Act as Terra’s senior SharePoint technical authority, leading client discovery sessions, architecture reviews, and solution presentations.
- Translate business requirements into practical architectures, implementation plans, and technical recommendations.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to consultants and support resources working on SharePoint and Microsoft 365 engagements.
Skills and Knowledge
- Hands-on experience designing, administering, and modernizing SharePoint Online environments.
- Proven experience leading SharePoint migrations from legacy platforms and/or file shares; tenant-to-tenant migration experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online architecture, governance, permissions, information architecture, and hub sites.
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft 365 collaboration ecosystem, including Teams, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 Groups.
- Hands-on experience with migration tools such as ShareGate, AvePoint, or SPMT, and with PowerShell-based SharePoint administration and automation.
- Experience designing Power Automate workflows and integrating SharePoint with other Microsoft 365 services.
- Strong consulting and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to assess environments and recommend practical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to both technical and business audiences.
- Self-starter who takes ownership and manages multiple client priorities in a fast-moving consulting environment.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; substantial relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
- 7+ years of SharePoint/Microsoft 365 experience, ideally within an MSP, consulting firm, or multi-client services environment.
- Experience delivering enterprise or multi-department SharePoint rollouts and formal governance frameworks.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, or Azure are an asset.
- Experience with Power Apps, SPFx, Microsoft Graph, or other Microsoft 365 development and integration technologies is an asset.
Compensation and Additional Perks
- Competitive compensation: $115,000-$135,000 CAD based on experience and qualifications, plus eligibility for a Short Term Incentive Plan
- Comprehensive benefits package and time off policies
- Company laptop
- Cellphone & Commuting Allowance
- Opportunity to take ownership of complex Microsoft 365 solutions across varied client environments, with direct client exposure and influence over Terra’s SharePoint practice
Compensation
$115,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
